Born in 1963 to Italian parents, Marco Berrettini grew up in Germany. At the age of 15 he was crowned champion of disco dancing in Germany. He first began his training as a dancer at London’s School of Contemporary Dance, and then at Essen’s Folkwangschule. His dancing career is heterogeneous: a jazz company, a classic ballet troupe and contemporary dance groups:  Georges Appaix, Pina Bausch, François Verret, Noemi Lapzeson. In 1986 he founded his own troupe – Tanzplantation – renamed *Melk Prod in 2000. He likes to use the term PCSC (Produit Culturel Spectaculaire Commercial) SCCP – ‘Spectacular Commercial Cultural Product’ – to describe his creations, among these: Le procès d’Emil Sturmwetter (1998), Sturmwetter prépare l’an d’Emil (1999), Multi(s)me and Freeze/Défreeze (2000), Sorry, Do the Tour! (2001), The Ballroom Blitz (2002), New Movments for Old Bodies (2003), No paraderan (2004), L’Opérette sans sous, si… (2006).
